Description
Ground Loop Isolator to solve electrical differences in the ground from two different areas (Commonly seen as a roll in the picture and or thick black bar.) Unit has built in TVS.
Many sites often having Grounding issues leaving installers to think that they have faulty equipment ( DVR’s, Cameras, Baluns, Connectors etc.) Ground loop is a condition where an unintended connection to ground is made through an interfering electrical conductor. Generally ground loop connection exists when an electrical system is connected through more than one way to the electrical ground. When two or more devices are connected to a common ground through different paths, a ground loop occurs. In CCTV this takes the form of rolling lines through the picture, fuzz, black bars etc. This commonly occurs in mounting cameras to metal buildings. These same conditions can also be caused by low voltage cables being run by other electrical cables, transformers, ballasts etc, though this is not recommended way of cabling. Often for all the issues a Ground Loop Isolator can be used to solve the problem quickly.
